Our Story

Born on the block, built by best friends, Myrtle Ave. Bagels brings real Brooklyn flavor with a neighborhood twist. More than bagels, we’re Clinton Hill’s favorite place for laughs, locals, and a side of cheeky charm. It’s a casual spot with honest food, real talk, and good vibes only.

Brand Story

Myrtle Ave. Bagels was born from a simple idea: neighbors making bagels for neighbors — with the warmth, grit, and everyday charm
you only find in Brooklyn.

Started by best friends Frankie and Prince, Myrtle Ave. Bagels transformed a local bagel spot into Clinton Hill’s new favorite gathering place. The goal wasn’t just to serve a quick breakfast, but to become the highlight of the block — a place where you don’t just pick up a bagel, you catch up with your neighbor, share a laugh with the staff, and leave happier than you arrived.

At the heart of the brand is Clinton, our beloved pigeon mascot — a nod to the countless pigeons that claim every Brooklyn stoop and bodega awning. But unlike the rest, Clinton is no ordinary pigeon: he’s clean (rare for a Brooklyn pigeon!), charming, and famous in his own right. He’s the unofficial mayor of Myrtle Avenue — greeting regulars, stirring up local chatter, and proudly showing off our bagels wherever he goes.

This brand isn’t just about bagels — it’s about community. We sponsor local sports teams, hang banners on game days, and know our customers by name (and their “usual” by heart). It’s a place where new faces become locals, and locals feel like family.

Myrtle Ave. Bagels is everything a good Brooklyn bagel shop should be: fresh, tasty, friendly, a little witty, and always ready to make your day better — one bagel at a time. It’s more than breakfast — it’s Clinton Hill Famous
